Dancehall is a style created in Jamaica and is evolving continuously. It takes from traditional, folk Jamaican dances and reggae. Nowadays most people dance New-school Dancehall, which could be divided into distinct styles including Queen Style, which steps are mostly created by women and its very much focused on being sensual, playful and sexy. A huge part of being a Dancehall Queen is attitude and confidence and during this class we’ll try to make everyone feel as confident and empowered as possible.
