Jessica Buchan

Hi, I'm Jess and I'm one of this year's ✨Merchandise Coordinators✨.

I've loved dance as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are my sisters and I making up dances when we were younger to show each other (and then arguing over whose was better!). I grew up watching dance films and knew it was something I had to do. I joined a local theatre group when I was 11 and stayed for 8 years and had the absolute best time there. My favourite part was the dancing and I was lucky enough to join the choreography team when I became a senior. Seeing my dances being performed on stage was an incredible feeling and definitely ties with the rush of performing on stage. What I love most about dancing is that when I'm dancing nothing else matters, it's my form of self-expression and a creative outlet, and a way for me to escape from everything else for a short time. I also love the friendships and memories that are created during classes, rehearsals are definitely the most fun part of dancing for me!
